Chapel Pond Ice Climb - Adirondacks

Chapel Pond is a well established ice climbing area in the New York Adirondacks. It is frequently climbed and has been for as long as anything in this range. The collection area at the top for a starting zone isn't large, but it doesn't take much to knock a climber off the ice. There have been several potentially serious avalanche accidents here over the years, but so far everyone has been lucky and no fatalities have resulted.
